Jamo A400 series Speakers
The Jamo 400 is a complete surround speaker system consisting of five different speakers ranging from the compact, yet surprisingly powerful, wall mountable satellite speaker A 402 to the towering, slim floor standing front speaker A 407 equipped with no less than five drive units. There is also the highly versatile A 405 with three drivers, which can both be mounted on the wall and placed on a shelf or a tabletop. The line up is completed with A 400 CEN and A 400 SUB.
Combine the A 405 HCS5 or A 407 HCS5 and add either a Jamo DMR-61
or the latest Jamo DMR 70 HDMi DVD player and AV Receiver to form a complete Lifestyle audio video system.

Product Overview and Observations
Danish manufacturer Jamo has unveiled a new loudspeaker range in South Africa available in Cape Town with the A 400 Series.
Styled by award-winning designers Smedegaard and Weis, the A 400 Series forms part of Jamo's 'Aesthetic' loudspeaker range.
First up is the Jamo A 407, a slim and tall floorstanding model ideally suited to front-channel duties in a multichannel surround sound system. Underneath the grille are five drive units - a 25mm/1in woven textile dome tweeter plus four 3in mid/bass drivers.
Next is the Jamo A 405, a satellite speaker that's like a 'cut-down 407', three drive units inside (a tweeter plus two bass/mids) and designed for shelf or wall mounting (mounting accessories supplied). The choice for front and/or rear channel duties if you want an unobtrusive multi-channel surround system.
The Jamo A 402 is a more diminutive, wall mountable 405. The smallest speaker in the series featuring a single coaxial 3in driver, with a 3/4in tweeter mounted on a separate plastic 'bridge'.
The Jamo A 400 CEN is, as the name suggests, a centre or dialogue speaker featuring an identical drive unit configuration to the A 405 but that is designed to allow for horizontal mounting, either on a shelf or a wall (mounting accessories supplied).
Lastly is the Jamo A400 SUB, a reflex-ported cube subwoofer packing 200w of power plus 8in bass driver designed to provide convincing low frequency as part of a multi-channel surround sound system.
These five models can be tailored to three 5.1 packages to suit all needs and budgets. They are: the entry-level 5.1 Speaker Package Jamo A402HCS5 featuring 4 x A402, 1 x A400CEN, 1 x A400SUB - 680w total RMS power.
The mid-range 5.1 Speaker Package Jamo A405HCS5 comprises 2 x A405, 2 x A402, 1 x A400CEN, 1x A400SUB - 740w total RMS power.
The premium 5.1 Speaker Package Jamo A407HCS5 comprises 2 x A407, 2 X A402, 1 x A400CEN, 1x A400SUB - 740w total RMS power.
